July 2026: Dancing to Different Styles and Tempos

Jazz music encompasses a broad range of styles and tempos including ballads, latin rhythms, hot jazz, and so much more. There are also music styles that are closely related to jazz such as soul and funk. In this class you will learn strategies for using your partnering skills to dance to a variety of styles, feels, and tempos, making your dancing more versatile and musically satisfying.

This class requires familiarity with partnering connection (either leading or following) and six-count Lindy Hop basics.
