What: 4-Hour All Level Lindy Hop Workshop with internationally renowned visiting instructor, Jeremy Otth, and NCS Director of Education, Annabel Quisao

Prerequisites: Familiarity with 6-count and 8-count Lindy Hop including side passes, circles, tuck turns, and swingouts

1:00-3:00 pm Session 1: Partnership Technique and Connection
Dig into the intricacies of connecting to your partner. We will explore how connection technique provides comfort and precision with your fundamental figures while also providing opportunities for a broader variety of move dynamics and for sharing your rhythmic ideas with your partner.
3:00-3:30 pm Break
3:30-5:30 pm Session 2: Playing with Rhythm and Dynamics
Learn some dynamic moves and play with rhythmic variations that will bring a fun, Jitterbug energy to your Lindy Hop.
Jeremy Otth bio:
Jeremy Otth has amassed a great amount of knowledge on the historic essence of vintage swing dances from many of the original jitterbugs and swing dancers. His expertise is focused on the Lindy, Collegiate Shag, Balboa and Solo Jazz.
Along with his seemingly inexhaustible amount of energy, Jeremy’s natural talent and dedication led him to accumulate championship titles at many acclaimed dance competitions such as the International Lindy Hop Championships, National Jitterbug Championships, American Classic Balboa Championships, and the US Open Swing Dance Championships. He's been twice inducted into the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame. Jeremy is honored to share the breadth of knowledge and passion for these classic partner dances by entertaining and educating feet around the world from Southern California to Asia and Europe.
Annabel Quisao bio:
Annabel has been teaching Lindy Hop and Balboa around the world for more than a decade. She is addicted to the communication and spontaneity of social dancing and is known far and wide for her huge grins and prodigious laughter on the dance floor. She has taken home top prizes in such events as the International Lindy Hop Championships, All Balboa Weekend, the California Balboa Classic, and Camp Hollywood, to name a few. She and Bobby White are the winningest Balboa partnership in the modern scene. In the classroom, Annabel is passionate about fostering a fun and inspiring environment that honors the history and legacy of the various swing dances while spurring her students to explore their potential and embrace their individuality. Currently, she resides in Washington, DC and is a founding board member and Director of Education at New Columbia Swing, DC’s premier swing dance organization.
Annabel and Jeremy have frequently drawn each other in Invitational Mix and Match contests and always enjoy their dances together, whether in the spotlight or in the corner of a social dance floor. Here is their winning Bal dance from the California Balboa Classic 2025:
