January 2023: Shim Sham Variations and Individual Styling

Do you already know the classic Shim Sham routine? It is a community tradition that began as a classic tap routine, choreographed by Leonard Reed and Willie Bryant. Frankie Manning modified it and taught his choreography near and far as he traveled to instruct Lindy Hop communities across the globe. This simple and repetitive routine provides a perfect playground for fun variations and individual flair. In this class you will learn some of the teachers' favorite variations and come up with some of your own!
